Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas seeks a Dryer Operator to safely run fluid bed or rotary dryers and related equipment. You will start, adjust, and monitor machinery, perform basic maintenance, and ensure clean work areas in compliance with safety rules and PPE requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, with ability to read procedures and perform basic math. Experience with heavy equipment like front-end loaders is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, safety rules, and production instructions.
• Basic math skills to support operations, inventory, or reporting.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust to maintain set parameters.
• Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.
• Operate a front-end loader to fill bulk material silos to meet daily production demands.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and startup machinery for daily production.
• Monitor dryer conditions and product quality to meet specifications.
• Maintain production records and report operational issues to supervisors.
