Job summary

Drybar Charlottesville is hiring a full-time Shop Educator and Stylist who loves behind-the-chair work and guiding others to improve. You will lead training and coaching while continuing to deliver outstanding guest services, helping the team grow in skill and confidence.

You’ll contribute to a positive shop culture, model professionalism, and drive education initiatives that enhance styling, product knowledge, and guest experiences for every guest who sits in your chair in Charlottesville.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Virginia cosmetology license or be able to obtain one before starting.
• Strong blowout and styling skills with an eye for detail.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and celebrating others’ progress.
• Clear communication and feedback skills.
• Dependable, positive approach and leadership by example.
• Desire to learn and grow with the team.
• Previous training, mentoring, or leadership experience preferred.

Drybar Charlottesville is looking for a talented, passionate Shop Educator who loves working behind the chair and helping others grow. This is an opportunity to bring your styling skills and leadership together while making a lasting impact on your team.

As part of our shop leadership team, you’ll lead stylist training, provide hands-on coaching, and help deliver the consistent, beautiful results our guests know and love. You’ll spend the majority of your time providing services to guests, with dedicated responsibilities for education and technical development.

Your Role in the Shop

You’ll help new stylists build confidence, support experienced team members as they refine their skills, and lead by example on the shop floor. We’re looking for someone who makes education approachable, gives thoughtful feedback, and brings positive energy to every training session and guest interaction.
