Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Dry Packaging Operator II to package products in a fast-paced dairy environment. You will fill, label, seal, and palletize bags/totes while supporting automated systems and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role offers a starting rate of $22.59/hour with two raises in the first year, a $1.50 shift differential plus double time on Sundays, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, plus a 401(k) with company

Qualifications

  • Read, understand, and follow GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, HACCP procedures.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in daily tasks.
  • Perform basic math for packing processes and labeling.

Responsibilities

  • Place bags/totes on pallets.
  • Fill and label bags/totes.
  • Seal packaging.
  • Support automated packaging systems.
  • Clean and sanitize packaging areas and equipment.
  • Assist coworkers and follow quality procedures.
  • Report safety or quality issues promptly.

  • Shift time- 2/2/3 5:30 to 5:30 rotating 1 month of days and 1 month of nights

Your role in achieving results
  • Place bags/totes on pallets.
  • Fill bags/totes and ensure proper labeling.
  • Seal bags/totes.
  • Sustain and support automated systems.
  • Clean and sanitize all parts of packaging department including walls, floors, and equipment.
  • Assist all other coworkers with tasks and duties within the department.
  • Adhere to quality system requirements.
  • Follow procedure and work instructions set forth through SOP's and Master Sanitation Schedules.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Understand and troubleshoot product flows.
  • May involve operation of a Critical Control Point as determined by the plant HACCP/Food Safety Plans.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

Education Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills Required:
  • Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
