Job summary

Smiths Group is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Technician for the second shift in Morton Grove, Illinois. In this role, you will support the assembly and testing of dry gas seal test cells, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment readiness and participating in continuous improvement activities within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or rotating equipment industry.
• Ideally apprenticeship trained with relevant qualifications.
• Assembly/Test experience in Gas Seals an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly, setup, and operation of dry gas seal test cells.
• Clean seal components and maintain test cell sub-components data.
• Perform necessary duties to safely assemble dry gas seals.
