Job summary

Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide drumline and marching percussion enrichment services for K–12 students at partner schools.

This is a potential independent contractor assignment, not an employee position. Contractors may choose to apply, accept, decline, or ignore opportunities. Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, curriculum, available instruments, rehearsal space, and program objectives.

Qualifications

• At least 60 college credits, where required by the assignment or site.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Availability to provide services for the accepted assignment schedule and communicate schedule issues promptly.
• Ability to demonstrate percussion techniques while fostering musicianship and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging drumline and marching percussion sessions.
• Introduce students to rhythm, technique, ensemble performance, and musicianship.
• Adapt instruction based on student experience levels and site requirements.
• Support students in developing percussion technique, ensemble skills, and performance readiness.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate assignment-related needs with Concorde and school staff.
• Complete brief session forms after each scheduled session.
• Follow site safety, visitor, and equipment procedures.
