Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to provide lessons aligned with the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student headcount while ensuring each student grows, develops, and enjoys making music, all within a culture of integrity, inclusion, and respect.

The role emphasizes partnering with the Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students, teaching across instrument areas, and supporting customer service to foster long-term engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
• Increase student count ensuring each student grows and enjoys playing music.
• Nurture our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.
• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
• Assist with customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and embracing parental knowledge.
• Communicate with students/parents on progress of each student.
• Share students/parents’ goals and progress frequently.
