Job summary

Alaska Airlines in Spokane, WA is seeking a Drug Abatement Representative (variable-time) to conduct drug and alcohol testing for employees 24/7. You will sign up for and complete tests at your assigned location, coordinating with the local collection team to ensure timely testing.

Flexibility to work various shifts, meet minimum workday requirements, and support testing across all operational hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in customer service, compliance, operations, healthcare, HR, law enforcement, or related field.
• Reside within 25 miles (or reasonable commuting distance) of the designated airport.
• Flexible schedule including mornings/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays, and occasional overnight travel.
• Learn and perform drug and alcohol testing procedures per policy and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Meet physical requirements: stand/walk, climb stairs, lift up to 40 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct drug and alcohol testing (urine, oral fluid, breath) per regulations and company policy.
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple workgroups and schedules for timely compliance.
• Apply judgment and problem-solving for testing situations, including direct-observation collections.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, inventories, and expense submissions.
• Communicate testing procedures and policy guidance to employees and leaders.
• Collaborate with station leadership and local teams to support testing operations.
• Assist with regulatory, legal, or labor matters involving testing; provide documentation as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training on regulatory requirements and program needs.
• Perform other duties to support Drug Abatement operations.
