Job summary

The role requires strong communication, basic math for cash handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a commitment to safety and integrity. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about products and assist customers across the store.
• Gain knowledge of products and reply to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products.
• Inform customers of current store specials and promotions.
• Recommend department items to meet customer needs and wants.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Review and action on product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
• Display a positive attitude and provide excellent service.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Reinforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions for management.
