Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, and monitor all quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

1. Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products sold within the department and store.
2. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
3. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
4. Inform customers of Drug GM specials.
5. Recommend Drug GM items to ensure customers get the products they want and need.
6. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
7. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
8. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
9. Display a positive attitude.
10. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
11. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
12. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
13. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
14. Report safety risks, illegal activities, theft, or fraud.
15. Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments.
16. Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
19. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
20. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
