Essential Job Functions:

  1. Promote trust and respect among associates.
  2. Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products and throughout the store.
  3. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
  4. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  5. Inform customers of Drug GM specials.
  6. Recommend Drug GM items to ensure customers get what they want and need.
  7. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
  8. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  9. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  10. Display a positive attitude.
  11. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  12. Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
  13. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
  14. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  15. Report safety risks or issues, including illegal activity such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
  16. Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
