Position Summary:

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Promote trust and respect among associates.
  2. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
  3. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
  4. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
  5. Inform customers of Drug GM specials.
  6. Recommend Drug GM items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
  7. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
  8. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  9. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  10. Display a positive attitude.
  11. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  12. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
  13. Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store management of any items in need of repair.
  14. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  15. Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  16. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
