Essential Job Functions:

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials.
• Recommend Drug GM items to ensure customers get what they want and need.
• Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions to store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks, illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
