Dropbox is seeking a senior leader to own lifecycle marketing end-to-end across onboarding, retention, monetization and expansion. You will lead a team of lifecycle marketers, collaborating with Product Growth, Data Science and Engineering to drive programs that deepen customer value at scale.
This is a remote, Canada-based role with strong P&L accountability and a focus on experimentation, personalization, and cross‑product expansion.
This is a high-impact senior leadership role at a well-established SaaS company with a massive global user base. The scope — owning lifecycle marketing end-to-end across onboarding, retention, monetization, and expansion — is unusually broad for a single function, signaling both significant autonomy and high visibility.
Compensation benchmarks: At CAD $145K–$197K (~USD $107K–$145K), this is competitive for a Senior Manager/Director-level lifecycle marketing role in Canada, though it may trail equivalent US-based roles at comparable companies by 10–20% after currency conversion.
Green flags: Dropbox's explicit emphasis on "durable skills" and AI fluency suggests a forward-thinking culture. The role has real P&L accountability and cross-functional authority, which are strong career accelerators.
Watch-outs: Dropbox has undergone significant restructuring in recent years. Ensure you clarify team size, recent headcount changes, and the growth trajectory of the lifecycle function before accepting an offer. The breadth of scope could indicate under-resourcing if the team is small.
As the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing, you will own Dropbox 's lifecycle marketing strategy across onboarding, engagement, retention, monetization, expansion, cross-sell, and re-engagement. You will lead a team of lifecycle marketers and build a portfolio of programs that help customers discover value, expand their use of Dropbox, and deepen their relationship with our products over time.
This is a senior people leadership role with direct accountability for business outcomes. You will set the lifecycle strategy and roadmap, determine where the team should invest, establish how programs are prioritized and measured, and stay close enough to the work to raise the quality of execution and unblock the highest-priority initiatives.
You will work closely with Product Growth, Product, Product Marketing, Data Science, Marketing Operations, and other marketing teams. Lifecycle Marketing will own customer communication strategy, channel planning, lifecycle program design, and marketing execution.
The opportunity is broader than running an email program. Dropbox has a large global customer base, multiple products, and both product-led and sales-assisted customer motions. The Head of Lifecycle Marketing will define how those pieces connect across the customer lifecycle and build the operating model needed to move from individual campaigns toward scalable growth programs.
AI fluency means using these tools to amplify human judgment, not replace it. We believe people with these skills will thrive as work and technology continue to evolve:
