Job summary

Spymca is seeking a Drop-in Child Care Attendant to create a safe and fun environment for children participating in our Drop-in Child Care program. You will interact directly with families and ensure children feel valued while adhering to our mission and core values.

This part-time position offers flexible hours and requires individuals who are proactive, dependable, and possess strong communication skills. Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid is provided upon employment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families is required.
• Preferred: Training or experience in Early Childhood Education or working with ages 0-6.
• Ability to interact with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• High level of initiative, dependability, and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children in the program.
• Ensure each child’s experience is engaging and valued.
• Keep the Child Care area neat, clean, and organized.
• Document and report accidents or incidents appropriately.
• Provide adequate supervision and positive direction for children.
