Job summary

Harsco Environmental seeks a Drop Ball Crane Operator to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial mill setting. You will break down slag, scrap, and by-products using a drop ball crane system while maintaining safety and production targets.

The role requires pre-shift inspections, adherence to safety procedures, and coordination with mill personnel. OSHA-aware and team-oriented candidates are preferred for rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in industrial environments preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices for heavy industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate drop ball cranes and heavy equipment to reduce oversized materials.
• Inspect equipment before, during, and after operation for safe performance.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and report defects or hazards.
• Follow procedures for handling slag, scrap, and other by-products.
• Coordinate with crew to maintain safe work zones.
• Maintain production targets while following safety and environmental rules.
• Complete production reports and documentation as required.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
