Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in industrial settings.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate drop ball cranes and heavy equipment to reduce oversized materials.
• Inspect equipment before, during, and after operation for safe performance.
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and report defects or safety concerns.
• Follow procedures for handling slag, scrap, and other by-products.
• Coordinate with laborers, supervisors, and mill personnel to maintain safe zones.
• Monitor work areas and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain production targets while adhering to safety and environmental requirements.
• Complete operational reports and production documentation.
