Job summary

Fotokite US LLC seeks an UAS Support Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair drones and their electro‑mechanical subsystems. This hands‑on role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to repair procedures.

You will work with engineers and technicians to support product improvements, faster diagnostics, and better customer support while following assembly and repair manuals. This position is full‑time and non‑exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to assemble complex electro-mechanical systems using engineering drawings.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong technical aptitude.
• Experience in an ESD-safe environment with sensitive electronic components.
• Proven record of meeting production timelines.
• Experience with spreadsheet and word processing tools (G-Suite and/or MS Office).
• Desirable: experience working with drones and soldering skills.
• Experience working for an international company is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics, repair, and functional testing of drones and electro‑mechanical subsystems.
• Disassembles and reassembles products according to repair manuals, engineering drawings, and procedures.
• Troubleshoots issues and communicates them to application engineers, other technicians, and the engineering team.
• Identifies and replaces defective components, including motors, sensors, wiring, PCBs, and other parts.
• Documents repair steps and maintains accurate service records for internal use and quality assurance.
• Supports root‑cause analysis and failure reporting processes.
• Provides feedback to the engineering and product teams to improve system reliability and serviceability.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and ESD‑safe workstation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
