Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Production Liaison Engineer for the Prime Air Structures and Payload team in Seattle to ensure reliability of drone systems and drive continuous improvement. You will partner with design engineering, operations, and manufacturing to investigate performance, develop hardware improvements, and communicate results to senior leaders.

This onsite role requires a mechanical engineering background, 4+ years of experience, and strong analytical and cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
4+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
Experience in design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume.

Responsibilities

Investigate drone system performance for anomalies, deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations.
Lead cross-functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics and drive improvements.
Develop innovative hardware designs for emerging drone systems and improve existing hardware to optimize performance and enhance customer experience.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burdens.
Work with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality, and vendors to ensure smooth product launches and sustaining.
Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures.
Communicate effectively across organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership.
