Job summary

Axon is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support for Dedrone by Axon products. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues while maintaining strong customer communication and ownership.

Location options include Sterling, VA or Mesa, AZ, with travel as needed. The role requires a BS in CS or 5+ years' experience, plus deep network and Linux knowledge, cloud awareness, and RF basics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels to identify and resolve issues.
• Very good knowledge in networks and Linux.
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency.
• Ability to work well in a team and share knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical customers.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Basic knowledge of RF technology and cloud computing solutions.
• Drone pilot license in future.
• Must pass CJIS background check and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop a complete understanding of the Airspace Security Solutions by Dedrone by Axon.
• Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support for the product family to field engineers and customers.
• Research and identify solutions to resolve software and hardware issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.
• Take ownership of customer issues and see problems through to resolution.
• Track requests and issues to resolution within agreed time limits.
