Job summary

Edko, LLC is seeking UAV/drone pilots to work for the Himmel division. A background in forestry, arboriculture, experience with UAVs or a related field is beneficial but not required.

Personnel will perform herbicide application along rights-of-way and roadsides and must be able to lead a small team in operations. Responsibilities include weather-appropriate drone operations, map interpretation, and the use of laptops, radios, and mobile apps.

Qualifications

• Background in forestry or arboriculture is beneficial but not required.
• Experience with UAVs or related field is a plus.
• Candidate should be able to lead a small team in field operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate UAV/drone equipment in varied weather conditions.
• Interpret and follow maps for flight planning and navigation.
• Use laptop, radio communications and mobile apps in operations.
• Travel overnight as needed and maintain safe flight operations.
• Provide vegetation management outcomes and supporting data.

• Ability to interpret and follow maps.
• Ability to use a laptop, radio communications and mobile apps.
• Valid Driver License with a clean driving record is required.
• The ability to work independently for long hours and out of town with extended overnight travel.
• Vegetation management experience, tree knowledge and ID skills or drone experience a Plus.
• A candidate with a Part 107 license is preferred.
