Job summary

Jacobs seeks a technically proficient Drone Pilot to safely operate commercial UAVs, capture reality‑capture data, and deliver usable project information across construction, BIM/VDC, and digital delivery workflows. The role requires adherence to FAA Part 107 and readiness to travel to project sites in the United States.

Qualifications

Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience operating commercial drones.
Experience developing flight plans around active construction sites.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, BIM models, and project schedules.
Strong safety awareness and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct commercial drone flights per FAA regulations and site procedures.
Maintain pilot credentials, registrations, and flight logs.
Perform pre‑flight inspections of aircraft, batteries, sensors, and storage.
Capture aerial data for design, construction, and operations use cases.
Coordinate flight windows and site access with stakeholders.
Produce deliverables and ensure data is organized and traceable.
Support project teams with drone data across lifecycle.
