Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a technically focused Drone Pilot to safely plan and execute commercial UAS flights across active construction or industrial sites in the United States. You will capture high‑quality imagery, generate 3D/orthomosaic outputs, and feed BIM/VDC workflows to support design, inspection, and turnover.

The role requires a Part 107 license and 3+ years of drone operations experience, with strong safety, organization, and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 certification required.
• 3+ years of professional UAS operations in construction, engineering, or industrial settings.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to project requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct commercial drone flights under FAA regulations and site procedures.
• Maintain pilot credentials, registrations, logs, and pre‑flight documentation.
• Develop repeatable flight plans and data capture standards for BIM/digital twin workflows.
• Produce deliverables including orthomosaics, 3D models, point clouds, and site documentation packages.
• Coordinate with project teams to define objectives, accuracy, and deliverable formats before mobilization.
