Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a technically focused Drone Pilot to safely transform aerial data into practical project information. You will conduct commercial drone flights on US-based sites, process imagery, and deliver BIM-ready outputs.

The role requires familiarity with construction workflows, photogrammetry, and 3D data generation. Ideal candidates bring strong safety awareness, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with design teams.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• 3+ years of experience operating commercial drones, preferably in construction/engineering.
• Ability to develop flight plans and execute UAS operations around active sites.
• Working knowledge of photogrammetry, orthomosaics, 3D meshes, point clouds, elevation models.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct commercial drone flights in accordance with FAA regulations and project requirements.
• Maintain pilot credentials, aircraft registrations, and flight logs.
• Perform pre‑flight inspections and verify equipment readiness.
• Coordinate flight windows, airspace restrictions, and site access with stakeholders.
• Publish deliverables to ACC, GIS platforms, or other environments.
• Support construction progress tracking and site logistics.
• Ensure data is complete, organized, and traceable.
