Job summary
Unusual Machines is seeking a hands-on Headset Process Engineer to optimize production processes for high-performance drone components and systems on the 1st shift. You will work on the manufacturing floor with operators, technicians, and leadership to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
The ideal candidate is data-driven, mechanically inclined, and experienced in Lean principles, SOPs creation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience creating SOPs and standardized work instructions.
- Experience working 3rd shift is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for drone components and assemblies.
- Analyze workflows to improve throughput, yield, and cycle times.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Monitor KPIs such as downtime and OEE; support NPI and scale-up.
- Train operators and lead technicians on updated processes.
