Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is hiring a Hardware Development Engineer III to lead Drone End of Line Test Systems for the MK30 program in Seattle. You will own test hardware, define acceptance tests, and ensure every drone passes functional verification on the line.

Role requires 5+ years in hardware engineering, strong CAD and test instrumentation skills, and prior mentorship or tech-lead experience within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Experience in 3D CAD and hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Drone End of Line Test Systems design and development.
  • Drive Acceptance Test Procedure Development & Documentation.
  • Hardware Integration & Troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with production, drone systems, and software teams.
  • Respond to manufacturing floor escalations and defects.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback.
  • Identify risks early and balance performance, cost, and schedule.
  • Improve processes and develop automation for manufacturing and testing.
