Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Supply Chain Contracts & Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing and supplier relationships for hardware components powering drone delivery. You will develop commodity strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost optimization while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

You'll collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support rapid scaling in the US and Europe, with opportunities to influence supplier performance and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
• Experience in procurement with vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding.
• Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
• Experience in program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process.
• Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage Hardware Commodity Categories: Own day-to-day commodity management for assigned hardware categories and drive performance improvements across categories.
• Execute Strategic Sourcing Activities: Conduct RFx, evaluate supplier proposals, perform cost analysis, and support contract negotiations.
• Drive Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness with regular business reviews.
• Support New Product Introduction: Partner with Engineering to identify and qualify suppliers for new hardware components and support prototype builds.
• Analyze Spend and Market Trends: Track spend patterns, identify cost drivers, and develop should-cost models and benchmarks.
• Ensure Supply Continuity: Monitor supplier health, coordinate with suppliers on inventory positioning, lead time management, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations to align activities and support cost estimating.
