Job summary

Service Robot Co. seeks a field-based drone technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and docking stations at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, update firmware, and conduct regular maintenance, ensuring safety and accurate record-keeping throughout the service lifecycle.

Travel to client locations is expected; training is provided online and in-person, with paid on-the-job work orders and ongoing support to help you grow in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to finding faults.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
