Job summary

Seneca is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our production team, responsible for final assembly, wiring, and functional testing of complex UAS for firefighting and mission-critical applications. You will work at the intersection of hands-on electromechanical assembly and rigorous testing with a focus on precision and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical/electromechanical assembly, UAV/robotics experience, and strong soldering, crimping, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in electrical/electromechanical assembly, ideally UAV/robotics/aerospace.
• Experience with UAV/robotics platforms (build, integration, repair, or test).
• Proficiency in soldering (through-hole and SMT) to industry workmanship standards.
• Strong crimping and wire-harness skills across multiple connector types and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assembly of electronics, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, flight controllers, motors/ESCs, sensors, and payload electronics.
• Solder and rework electronic components to high workmanship standards.
• Crimp and terminate connectors (JST, Molex, XT, Deans, MOLEX Micro-Fit) for power/data wiring.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair PCBs and PCBAs at the component level.
• Conduct functional and systems-level testing, including power-on tests and sensor calibration.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using meters and scopes.
• Document test results and deviations per quality procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering on DFMA/DFT issues with feedback from production.
