Qualifications

• Substantial expertise in UAS assessment, tactics, response operations, and counter-UAS detection equipment.
• Law enforcement knowledge and experience teaching explosive hazards and terrorist threat subjects.
• Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating under FAA Part 107 is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of First Responder drone flight experience is required.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and technical software skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality resident and mobile DART training courseware to raise awareness of UAS threats, including legal considerations and counter-drone technology.
• Guide participants through detection strategies, threat assessment, and practical response techniques for real-world scenarios.
• Research to support course content, provide references, and identify resources relevant to DART training and counter technologies.
• Review course materials for accuracy, technical relevance, and alignment with current UAS practices and applicable laws and agencies.
• Contribute to drafting and refining lesson topics, objectives, and materials to meet NMIMT/FEMA NTED standards.
