Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission's Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is seeking dynamic, energetic seasonal Driving Range Attendants for the South Germantown Driving Range in South Germantown Recreation Park. Responsibilities include registering participants, collecting fees, answering questions, and selling merchandise.

Work hours are flexible, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the range open year-round.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Weekend and evening work is required.
• Minimum age: 18.
• Must attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Background investigation will be completed prior to hiring.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Medical, drug and alcohol testing may be required.
• Seasonal (part-time); no benefits.
• Training and orientation provided.

Responsibilities

• Register participants for programs and camps.
• Collect registration fees and sell merchandise, range cards, and buckets of balls.
• Answer customer questions and serve as first contact for concerns.
• Perform basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Operate golf ball picker and assist with setup/takedown of archery equipment.

Job description

Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, fun seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill our positions at South Germantown Driving Range, located within the South Germantown Recreation Park. Follow the link below for further details about each facility.

Work hours are flexible to include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Driving Range is open year-round.

Driving Range Attendant (Starts @ $15.6313/hr)

Attendants will be responsible for registering participants for programs and camps, collecting registration fees, answering customer questions and serving as the facility's first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns. Attendants will also be responsible for selling merchandise, range cards, and buckets of balls. Perform basic computer functions (e.g. data entry capabilities), have a pleasant demeanor, and be knowledgeable of facility programs, fees, and policies. Performs routine tasks to include operating a golf ball picker, cleaning and maintaining facility and equipment as well as assisting with set-up and take-down of archery equipment.

Qualifications

Cash handling experience preferred. Weekend and evening work is required. Minimum age: 18

These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications.

All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available) and attend in-house orientation.
