Job summary

Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort is seeking a golf range attendant to engage with guests and deliver a memorable experience at the Toptracer Range. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked driving range while delivering friendly service and safely operating equipment.

This is a physically demanding role that requires energy, attention to detail, and strong customer service to keep up with a busy practice facility. Availability on weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons and build rapport in a service-oriented manner.
• Provide information on range procedures, buckets, and policies.
• Assist guests with equipment needs (loaner clubs, tees).
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs to replenish the range.
• Keep range balls stocked by operating ball-washer and ball-collecting equipment.
• Collect balls from the range using equipment and by hand.
• Set up and maintain hitting areas, mats, loaner clubs, and seating.
• Assist staff with keeping stations clean and organized.
• Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

You will serve on a team whose job is to engage with all its audiences to create a memorable golf experience at the Toptracer Range and Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. You will contribute to the success of the Resort by ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked driving range while providing friendly customer service and safely operating equipment. This is a physically demanding position and requires a high level of energy, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills to keep up with the demands of a very busy practice facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Introduce self and create good rapport with all patrons. Greet all members and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Provide information on range procedures, buckets, and facility policies.
• Assist guests with equipment needs (loaner clubs, tees, etc.).
• Must be able to regularly lift 20+ pounds as required to replenish the driving range.
• Maintain a continuous supply of clean range balls by operating ball-washing and ball-collecting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Regularly collect balls from the range using range picker equipment, carts, and by hand.
• Set up and maintain hitting areas, including mats, loaner clubs, and seating area.
• Assist driving range staff, including Ball Shack staff, with keeping range stations clean and organized by removing spent buckets, cleaning mats, picking up tees, trash removal, and restocking supplies.
• Operate all equipment (range picker, ball washer, carts) safely and responsibly.
• May perform other duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

• Reliable and punctual.
• Physical ability to lift, on occasion, up-to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be at least 16 with a valid driver’s license (for operating range vehicles).
