Fred Beans Automotive Group in Doylestown, PA seeks an experienced Driving Division Manager to lead transportation and delivery operations for our Parts Distribution Center.

You will oversee driver management, dispatch, route planning, fleet coordination across multiple locations, and ensure safety, customer service and cost control.

This hands-on leadership role requires building strong teams, improving efficiency, and partnering with warehouse and sales to keep deliveries on time.

Formación

• Previous management experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution operations.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, dispatch operations, and route optimization.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Experience managing departmental budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to balance day-to-day operations with long-term process improvements.
• Comfortable coordinating across multiple departments and locations.
• A hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily transportation and delivery operations across multiple warehouse and cross-dock locations.
• Lead dispatch, route planning, driver assignments, and delivery coordination.
• Ensure deliveries are completed efficiently while meeting customer expectations.
• Identify routing improvements to reduce mileage and boost productivity.
• Address delays, vehicle breakdowns, and staffing shortages.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and operations management for smooth deliveries.
• Oversee delivery drivers, dispatch staff, and fleet management.
• Handle hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on accountability, safety, and service.
• Partner with Fleet Manager to oversee maintenance and utilization of a fleet of 100+ delivery vehicles.
• Ensure DOT compliance and company safety policies.
• Monitor driver safety and provide coaching based on safety data.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate regular safety meetings and promote safe driving.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and operating expenses.
• Monitor transportation costs like fuel and overtime.
• Analyze route performance and transportation data for improvements.
• Track KPIs such as route efficiency, cost per delivery, and driver retention.
• Implement strategies to improve efficiency while maintaining service.
