Job summary

A moving service company is hiring box truck drivers and crew leaders in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Candidates will provide exceptional customer service while operating a 26' box truck safely and ensuring customer belongings are protected during the moving process. Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required for drivers.
• Ability to lift heavy items on a consistent basis (100 lbs. or more).
• Experience in general labor, construction, warehouse labor, manufacturing, or truck driving helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the 26’ box truck as a driver (non-CDL).
• Perform daily truck inspections and moving equipment inventory checks.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to our customers throughout the entire moving process
• Padding and Wrapping of the customers belongings to ensure protection
• Protecting the customers home during the moving process
• Basic assembly and disassembly of house hold items
• Moving Furniture, Appliances, Boxes, and Outdoor items.
• Securing furniture for safe transportation on the truck
• Packing of small items into boxes
• Junk Removal Services
• Complete paperwork and payment collection
• Safely operate the 26’ box truck as a driver (non-CDL)
• Maintain a clean and orderly truck
• Perform daily truck inspections and moving equipment inventory checks

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required for drivers
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lift heavy items on a consistent basis (100 lbs. or more)
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Experience in general labor, construction, warehouse labor, manufacturing, or truck driving helpful!
