Job summary

Watsco is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate in Jacksonville, FL to manage daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials, and to perform essential warehouse tasks. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, receiving and stocking merchandise, verifying items against orders, picking and preparing shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe yard and equipment with proper PPE.

This role requires a customer‑service mindset, the ability to work within deadlines, and a commitment to safety and teamwork

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 16’ minimum box truck, or stake bed truck.
• Ability to multi-task and meet daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
• A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.

• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
• Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class B license preferred (except when required in certain states)
• 6 months of Warehouse experience including forklift operation.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC and truckload logistics is a plus.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
