Job summary

Gemaire Distributors in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate to load and unload products, deliver HVAC freight to customers, and stock merchandise.

The role requires a minimum 24 months driving a 22' box or stake bed truck, strong safety awareness, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team Monday–Friday with occasional overtime. Pay and benefits align with standard HVAC distribution roles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description


  • Daily loading and unloading of products.

  • Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.

  • Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.

  • Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.

  • Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.

  • Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.

  • Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.

  • Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.

  • Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.

  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.

  • Provide excellent customer service to external customers.

  • Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.

  • Wear appropriate PPE.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 22’ minimum box truck, or stake bed truck.

  • Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.

  • A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check


Preferred Qualifications


  • 6 months of Warehouse experience including forklift operation.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

  • Knowledge of HVAC and truckload logistics is a plus.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).


Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
