Job summary

Acme Refrigeration in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate to load, deliver HVAC freight, and manage inventory. The role supports a national HVAC distributor with a strong safety culture.

You will work first shift, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, and enjoy competitive pay plus benefits like health, life, 401(k) and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of verifiable, current experience driving a 22’ minimum box truck or stake bed truck.
• Ability to multi-task and meet daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Effective customer communication and service.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Commitment to customer service and safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products daily.
• Assist with delivering HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect and stock merchandise.
• Verify items received against orders for accuracy.
• Pick and verify customer orders and prepare for shipment.
• Collect invoices with signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Maintain truck and forklift sanitation and times.
• Use and maintain OF device as required.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
• Read orders to determine items to move, gather, distribute or ship.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure warehouse is neat, safe, and compliant with safety rules.

Looking for a Cool Job in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team representing the industry leaderin HVAC equipment? The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the inventory of the Warehouseand daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials. The ultimate goal of this role is to procure, process,dispatch, and deliver/transport products to customers and vendors for one of our established wholesaleHVAC distributorships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times withmerchandise returns.
• Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to bemoved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customertraffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties asassigned.
