Position Overview

The individual in this role provides courier services and shipping/receiving support for clinical laboratory facilities and client offices. This is a full-time afternoon shift position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities

• Receiving and delivering freight
• Preparing and packaging outbound shipments
• Handling shipping and receiving documentation
• Supporting recycling efforts
• Maintaining the facility, including light housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Driver Responsibilities

• Driving hospital vehicles to pick up and deliver specimens, reports, and supplies
• Completing deliveries efficiently and thoroughly, following procedures and instructions
• Prioritizing requests and reporting issues
• Filling supply orders
• Documenting pickups and checking vehicle condition
• Performing additional pickups and deliveries as needed
• Monitoring vehicle condition and routine maintenance
• Adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
• No experience required; shipping & receiving experience preferred
• Valid Michigan Driver's License required
