Description

Warde Medical Laboratory provides esoteric testing in a state-of-the-art facility, staffed with highly trained personnel under the leadership of internationally known pathologists. This role supports courier services, shipping, and receiving for clinical laboratory facilities and client offices.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities

• Receives and delivers incoming freight.
• Prepares and packages outbound freight for shipment.
• Prepares and reconciles shipping and receiving documents.
• Supports recycling efforts.
• Maintains the facility, including environmental and light housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Driver Responsibilities

• Drives hospital vehicle on scheduled and unscheduled trips to transport laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies.
• Completes deliveries thoroughly and efficiently, following procedures and instructions. Reports issues to management.
• Prioritizes delivery requests and reports problems.
• Fills supply orders and maintains documentation of pickups.
• Ensures the vehicle is maintained, fueled, and in good condition, reporting non-routine maintenance needs.
• Adheres to traffic laws, drives defensively, and maintains vehicle cleanliness.

Qualifications

Requires basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. No previous experience required; shipping & receiving experience preferred. Must hold a valid Michigan Driver's License.

Effective communication skills for interacting with healthcare personnel and clients. Attention to detail and concentration are essential.
