Job summary

ACME Refrigeration in Alexandria, LA is seeking a hands-on Driver/Warehouse Associate to manage inventory and deliver HVAC freight daily from our wholesale distributorship.

The role combines driving a company pickup with warehouse tasks and requires a safety-focused, customer-service oriented candidate. First shift, occasional Saturdays, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years verifiable experience driving a company pickup truck.
• Ability to multi-task and meet daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received against items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare shipments for shipment as needed.
• Collect invoices with signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Responsible for daily truck and forklift maintenance checklists and reporting times.
• Assist with inventory control and physical inventory.
• Read orders and shipping documents to determine items to move, gather, distribute or ship.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are neat, safe, and compliant with safety rules.
• Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customertraffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties asassigned.
