Job summary
A transportation services company is seeking an experienced Training Manager to oversee the driver hiring and training program. This role involves providing classroom instruction to new hire candidates, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and maintaining training records. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a clean driving record, and excellent communication skills. Experience in training and operational duties is preferred. Qualifications
Clean driving record.
Must have a current Driver’s license for a minimum of three (3) years.
Obtain and maintain a current DOT physical.
One (1) to three (3) years of training experience.
Experience as a Behind the Wheel Instructor preferred.
Experience as a Classroom Instructor preferred.
Responsibilities
Maintain training and personnel files.
Perform classroom instruction which meets or exceeds MV requirements.
Create, implement, and maintain effective cadetting and training schedules.
Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is complete.
Administer pre-employment drug and background checks.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
