Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is hiring a Driver Trainee in Richland, MS. You’ll participate in the Driver Training Program while performing Freight Handler duties, including loading/unloading, inspections, and documentation. Training requires 8 hours of driving and 25 hours of yard work, with potential CDL A endorsements pursued during the program.

Candidates must be 21+, pass background and drug tests, and have a HS diploma or GED; starting pay is $33.35–$34.50 per hour with first shift duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to pass background check and drug/alcohol test.
• Willing to obtain CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailer, solo or with dock workers.
• Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition.
• Drive truck to assigned destinations and maintain required records.
• Complete 8 hours behind the wheel and 25 hours of yard training.
