Scope

The Driver Technician performs duties that ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to our accounts, customers, and guests. This position complies with instructions and prescribed routines, plans routes and deliveries, and operates medium to large trucks daily. The role also involves maintenance and cleaning tasks regularly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and courteously operate vehicles to deliver and pick up rental equipment at theme parks, resorts, and other facilities as instructed.
  • Deliver orders via the most effective route, ensuring complete deliveries within established time frames and meeting customer/guest needs.
  • Use tools skillfully for maintenance of mobility equipment, including strollers, wheelchairs, and ECVs, as well as other VenuPlus equipment where applicable.
  • Diagnose and document equipment problems and repairs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and receipt of orders, reporting discrepancies to the company.
  • Collect and return all paperwork and equipment.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by collecting feedback, tracking service issues, and communicating back to the company.
  • Communicate the need for vehicle maintenance or repairs.
  • Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow, meet schedules, and ensure quality.
  • Participate in meetings and workgroups to coordinate activities, communicate issues, and stay informed about policies and developments.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety procedures and operating rules.
  • Maintain a professional appearance according to uniform policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles like 16’ box trucks with lift gates and commercial vans.
  • Driver/Runner experience, preferably in the area.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical inclination and basic computer skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
  • Professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements

Must regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb. Frequently lift over 50 pounds and use ladders and handling devices as needed.

Work Conditions

Work primarily in warehouses or enclosed trucks/vans. Exposure to outdoor environments in various temperatures.
