Job description

SCOPE

The Driver Technician performs duties that ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to our accounts, customers, and guests. This position complies with instructions and prescribed routines as well as plans routes and deliveries. The Driver Technician operates medium to large trucks daily. The role will also handle maintenance and cleaning tasks on a regular basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely & courteously operates vehicle to deliver and pick up rental equipment at theme parks, resorts, and other facilities as instructed
• Delivers orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer/guest needs
• Exhibits skillful use of all types of tools used in maintenance activities while performing maintenance services for mobility equipment, including strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV's as well as for all additional VenuPlus equipment where applicable
• Diagnoses and documents equipment problems and repairs
• Ensures documents delivery and accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives reporting any discrepancies to company
• Collects and returns all paperwork materials and equipment
• Increases customer satisfaction by collecting information, tracking feedback on services and resolutions to complaints, and communicating information back to the company
• Communicates the need for recommended or required vehicle service
• Performs or assists with any operation as required to maintain workflow, meet schedules, and quality requirements
• Participates in any variety of meetings and workgroups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge about new developments, requirements, and policies
• Maintains a safe work area and complies with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to the uniform policy as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to safely operate vehicles – 16' box truck with lift gate and commercial size van

• Driver / Runner experience, preferably in the area
• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record
• Mechanically inclined and oriented
• Basic computer skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and/or holidays
• Exhibits a professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Shows accuracy and attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Use of ladders and other material handling devices are required as needed.

WORK CONDITIONS

This position works in a warehouse or enclosed truck/van daily. The employee is regularly exposed to working outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.
