Job summary

Ultipro seeks a Fleet Planner in Wisconsin to optimize load planning and driver utilization across the network. You will develop strategic load plans, balance service, cost, and driver satisfaction, and coach drivers on performance and compliance with Hours of Service.

This role requires strong communication with drivers, brokers, shippers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and full documentation.

Qualifications

2-5+ years of experience in fleet planning or trucking operations.
Proven success in managing driver relationships and planning freight.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service.
Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and MS Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic load plans to maximize productivity and revenue.
Build and maintain trust-based relationships with drivers via consistent communication.
Align driver preferences with operational needs (home time, routes, equipment).
Coach drivers on performance and compliance with Hours of Service.
Plan, assign, and optimize loads to maximize fleet utilization.
Monitor shipments and ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance.
Communicate with drivers, brokers, shippers, and internal teams.
Ensure accurate documentation for all loads.
Support continuous improvement in planning processes.
Serve as a communication hub between drivers and stakeholders.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
