Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver with CDL-A to deliver full trailers to the Domicile and return empty trailers to the Distribution Center, upholding safety and DOT compliance.

This full-time, overnight role at DC Milwaukee supports a nationwide distribution network with competitive pay, Day 1 benefits, vacation and life insurance. You’ll inspect rigs, ensure load security, and log driver activity while advancing a long-term driving career.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) per DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul when required.
• Work safely to prevent injury and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What You’ll Do As a Shuttle Driver

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Shuttle Driver Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
