Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to the domicile and bring empties back to the Distribution Center. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT rules, and timely, secure handling of loads.

Starting pay ranges from $68,000 to $70,000 with Day 1 medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, and additional perks such as vacation and tuition reimbursement. Candidates should be 21+, hold a CDL-A, and have 1 year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
