Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to the domicile and return empties to the distribution center. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to DOT regulations while contributing to the company’s nationwide supply network.

Qualifications include a valid CDL-A, at least one year or 50,000 miles of driving, and strong English reading/writing skills. The team values reliability, adaptability, and a safety-first approach in a dynamic logistics

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks safely and effectively

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects before and after trips and submit DOT inspection report
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations (manual or PeopleNet)
• Occasionally perform line haul and/or backhaul
• Work safely to prevent injuries and product damage
• Perform other duties as assigned

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.

• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
