Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Manassas, VA is seeking a Seasonal Propane Bobtail Driver to safely deliver propane and serve customers. You will load/unload, document deliveries, and maintain vehicle safety while meeting routing needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CDL A or B, Hazmat preferred, and current DOT medical certification. The role is seasonal/part-time with overtime possible, offering competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane to customers for bulk or cylinder containers.

• Inspect and maintain vehicle safety, including pre/post inspections and site checks.
• Coordinate routing with the Dispatcher and report issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Seasonal Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

This is a Seasonal part-time position, depending on candidate availability and business needs.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $32.00 per hour.
