Job summary

Southern Regional Technical College is hiring a Drivers Education Instructor to teach classes in coordination with Joshua’s Law and Georgia DDS guidelines. The role covers classroom and on-road instruction, curriculum development, and progress reporting in a safety-focused environment.

You will collaborate with staff to plan lessons, manage student behavior, and participate in professional development to support program goals. Compensation is hourly and aligned with experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required.
• Certification as Driver Training Instructor required after DDS online training.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Drivers’ Education classes per Joshua’s Law and DDS guidelines.
• Coordinate classroom and over-the-road instruction with safety and compliance.
• Develop lesson plans, materials, and records of progress and attendance.
• Manage student behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and program planning activities.
