Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking a Driver's Assistant to support truck drivers with logistics at our Kentucky facility. The role includes loading/unloading trailers, ensuring secure loads, cleaning the truck, and reporting maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Candidates should be at least 21 years old with a clean MVR, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time position requiring outdoor work and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have clean MVR and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic, honesty and character are required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Work outdoors daily, in inclement weather.
• Must be able to sit and climb in/out of truck cab.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must tolerate live poultry odors and loud environments.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned.
